Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, and 3 Instructors
of whom 2 are part- time. Curricular issues in the department
are carried out by academic committees, and extra- curricular
activities are an important part of the student life in the
department. The major graduate level research areas are optimal design
of experiments, estimation on irregular families, statistical
reliability, models for dependence mechanisms, spatial
statistics, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition,
survey sampling, survey research methods, demographical
studies, extremes of random functions and applications,
